Hoche Avocats advises the Excellence Imagerie group on the acquisition of the medical imaging center Faidherbe Mont-Louis
A new medical imaging center, Faidherbe Mont-Louis, joins the Excellence Imaging group.
With the Faidherbe Mont-Louis Medical Imaging Center (Paris 11th), alongside the Paris Institute of Radiology (IRP) and the Beaurepaire Senology and Ultrasound Center (CSE), the Excellence Imaging group, supported since its creation in 2019 by UI Investissement, has become a major player in radiology in France with nearly 60 specialized radiologists per organ on state-of-the-art technical platforms and more than 400,000 procedures performed per year. It is also the leading French player in senology with 150,000 acts per year.
The group’s ability to act will facilitate the sharing of expertise, particularly on complex interpretation files, but also by making the most innovative technologies available. Thus, in the detection of breast cancer, which concerns 35% of the procedures performed, Excellence Imaging relies on artificial intelligence to improve the accuracy of diagnoses.
The project led by Excellence Imagerie is based on an innovative development model that relies on investment in the technical platform, alongside radiologists. The doctors, who retain a very strong degree of autonomy, are major shareholders in the Group and are its managers.
Innovative in technological and medical terms as well as in terms of its organization, the Group wishes to be joined by other imaging centers in Ile-de-France and to set up regional centers on the same model of development. This ambition is part of the movement to consolidate the sector, faced with increasingly stringent regulatory constraints and the need to adapt to the changes underway (tele-radiology, tele-expertise, artificial intelligence). In this desire to build a high-performance player at the service of the patient, the group has been actively supported by UI Investissement since its creation.
